This installment introduces some nice additions

 
The beam looks way more spectacular.

Review - Lots of Mode 7 and typical slow-paced R-type gameplay. Love it or hate it, this is R-Type.

Bottom line: improved sequel of Super R-Type and one of the better shooters on Super Famicom. 8,5/10
