F-zero

version: jp - year: 1991 - developer: nintendo - publisher: nintendo - format: super famicom, 4 mbit cartridge - condition: near mint - rarity: common

Review - For a lunch title, F-Zero is even more impressive!

Futuristic racer which used the mode 7 capabilities of the Super Famicom way before Super Mario Kart. The end result was mind-boggling back in 1991, zooming and rotating sprites and backgrounds, blazing fast races, all on a meager 3,5 mhz CPU... Later faithfully ported to GameBoy Advance.

Bottom line: The founding father of the series, and still memorable, once you locate it in its historical period. 9/10
