In regular Strider, the audio-visuals are still amazing, even by today's standards. The graphics haven’t even aged in my opinion. They still look fresh!

The sampled speeches sound crystal clear (I love the voice acting between levels as you have Japanese, Chinese, English and Russian!).

Gameplay is superlative and still provides a lot of good old fun.

The sequel is really not what I expected though. It certainly does not have the same appeal as the original game but it's actually not bad. In particular, there are some inspired levels such as the one set in the castle but the game is overall too easy and short!

Bottom line: a very nice compilation with two pixel-perfect ports. 9/10
