Review - The one that started the survival horror craze on consoles although the genre was maybe pioneered before by Alone in the Dark on PC.

Very original back at the time, it spawned an enormous amount of sequels that more or less followed the same formula down to the same (frustrating at times) controls scheme. Moving from one location to the next proved nerve-wrecking both because of the horrors that could be waiting for you and for those doors that took for ever to open…It might be worth noting that in this version (and in the Euro version as well) the intro is censored.

Bottom line: the founding father of one of capcom's most popular series. 9/10
