Obscure side-scrolling 2d fighter by Banpresto

Backgrounds are varied and detailed

but enemies tend to be repetitive

A decent attempt at the genre

Review - A clone of Guardian Heroes on Playstation! Is it as good?! Well not quiet but it is a decent attempt.

Panzer Bandit is all about hand-drawn 2D graphics, and the screen zooms in and out just like in Treasure's classic fantasy brawler. The strongpoint of the game is in the combo system which allows you to chain attacks and juggle with your opponents mid-air until you basically kick them out of the screen! This works really well and it is fun to do for a while but by the time you get to the final stages and meet the same opponents over and over, you'll start to feel a hint of boredom.

Despite this, Panzer Bandit is one of the best side-scrolling fighters on PSOne, although it's a bit let down but its repetitive enemies.

Bottom line: a nice-looking 2D side-scrolling fighter which can get a bit repetitive after a while. 7/10
