Prehistoric Isle 2

version: european - year: 1999 - developer: yumekobo - publisher: snk - format: mvs, 478 mbit cartridge - condition: good, unboxed - rarity: uncommon

Review - Sequel of SNK's Prehistoric Isle in 1930, Yumekobo's shooter features solid 2D rendered graphics that push the Neo-Geo graphical capabilities to new hights.

The Jurassic theme is spectacular and certainly refreshing. A wide variety of well animated dinos will be trying to hinder your advance. When rescueing civilians, you'll be granted access to extra power ups and smart bombs so this adds a new dimension to the game (Defender anyone?)

The final boss is a huge giant squid...Everytime I see it, I feel like having Calamari :)

Bottom line: A very nice sequel of a little know arcade game. Was only released onto the MVS format. 8/10
