One of the most impressive games on Sega CD, Silpheed tried to save the system from early burial... ...in vain.
Review-I liked this shooter when it came out and I really tried to convince myself that the SEGA CD was a necessary add-on for my Genesis to display 3D graphics…until Virtua Racing came out on cartridge and my whole theory got flushed...
Bottom line: on-rail polygon-based shooter with lots of nice pre-calculated graphics. One of the better games on the system. 8/10
