It delivered new stages and new characters, a new set of stage-specific fatalities, sudden deaths moves and cinekills as well as a brand-new sountrack which takes advantage of the CD format.

I must say that even if the music isn't CD-quality on the cartridge version, it still sounds more inspired than the one here.

Bottom line: an enhanced port which almost feels like a sequel of the Genesis original game. Technically impressive and probably the best fighting game for the Sega CD. 8/10
