Review - "Ecco if we breath air, why do we live beneath the waves?"

Imagine an underwater universe populated by beautiful dolphins and dangerous foes. Imagine the sunken ruins of Atlantis, the lost continent. Imagine a time travelling machine that can take you far into the remote past or deep into the distant future. Imagine the presence of an alien threat.

This game is absolutely fabulous. The graphics transmit a unique sense of warmth when you swim around with your pod. Colors on screen are delicate and shades of blue are infinite.

Ecco's animation is astounding as he swims elegantly in the ocean while touching new-age themes evoke unspoken mysteries buried in the depth of the seas.

You will swim in many seas across different eras. You will meet deadly creatures such as sharks and octopus and friendly creatures such as whales. The challenge seems overwhelming but never give up because great rewards await.

Bottom line: maybe the most original and atmospheric game ever developed on 16 bit technology. 10/10
