Dungeon and Dragons Collection

version: jp - year: 1999 - developer: capcom - publisher: capcom - format: saturn, 2 cdrom + ram expansion - condition: mint - rarity: hard to find

Review - I waited for this game for ever as Capcom kept postponing it.

Finally, when the game came out, it left a bitter taste in my mouth. Even if the port seems to be arcade perfect, the cds load way too much. It is unacceptable considering that the games use the ram expansion cart.

Despite this, in this collection are gathered 2 of the best side scrolling fantasy fighters that I can think of: D&D: Tower of Doom and D&D: Shadow over Mystara.

What is astounding about these 2 games is the way Capcom was able to use an american license such as D&D and give it a very stylish manga look. Amazing!

Bottom line: A steep evolution over The King of Dragons and Knights of the Round hindered by annoying loading times. 8/10
