One of the best FPS on PS3

squad-based attacks are spectacular though and give a real sense of progression. In some levels, earning a few meters over enemy lines feels like a victory in itself!

a little extra variety in the environments and the color palette would have been welcome.

Review - Killzone 2 is another tactical sci-fi fps, like we’ve been playing for quiet some time now.

There is the usual squad-based gameplay, the use of heavy weapons and vehicles, and everything looks very polished, if you don’t get tired of looking at grey, industrialized futuristic landscapes.

As a PS3 exclusive, there is no doubt Killzone 2 is one of the better first person shooters on the system, up there with the best examples of the kind. Even character acting is pretty good, despite the rather lacking story.

In the end, if you are looking for a nicely crafted fps exclusive to the PS3, you should seriously consider this game. It might not surprise you but your killing instincts will be amply satisfied.

Bottom line: technically flawless, entertaining but somewhat generic....8/10
