Review - I got this game because I am a masochist maybe…

Anyway, in this 1st person shooter, the first enemies you will encounter are mechanical…frogs. Scary!

Luckily, the enemies do get better after a few stages. What doesn’t is the artificial intelligence of your sidekicks which is comparable to that of a nutsack. They get stuck anywhere they can and believe me, they will get stuck just to piss you off.

But that’s not enough! Sometimes, they will get stuck into doors. And guess what? When the door closes, they will be dead. Their body parts scattered across the screen.

And you will be punching the living shit out of your keyboard. Why you say?

Well, because if they die, you die too! Great design! Woohoo! What about saving your game every 2 seconds you say?

Well let me tell you pal, it ain’t happening. You gotta have freackin’ crystals to do that, and you can carry a maximum of 3 of them. Bwahahahahaha. Diabolical, isn’t it?

But you know what is even more incredible? I dared to finish the game and I evenbought the guide book for it. Now please, anybody, tell me you admire me!

(*) = sold.

Bottom line: it was delayed forever and when it came out is was a huge flop. And for a reason. Daikatana must be the 11th plague of Egypt. 2/10
