Review - Kiaidan 00 is a very cool side-scrolling shooter in which you fly around fighting all kinds of weird creatures such as mechanized Godzillas-type monsters and humanoid / insectoid ships.

Graphically, this game has good-looking graphics which are very colourful and pleasant. Backgrounds are varied and often feature many levels of parallax scrolling. The arsenal at you disposal is fairly varied since you can choose between 5 different weapons which all have their specific special attack. This introduces a nice gameplay twist as you will often be required to switch weapons to clear stages and bosses more effectively.

The music is very good as it sounds crystal clear and it is beautifully composed.

Gameplay is a strong point of this game as the difficulty curve is gradual and the last few stages will put a serious challange to even the most die-hard shooter maniacs out there.

Bottom line: Kiaidan 00 is an overall excellent package. With great audio-visuals and pretty hard and entertaining gameplay, there is really no reason why you shouldn't consider to pick this one up, aside from the price tag which could be a little high. 8/10
