Review - Today I played Turrican 3 on Amiga so I had to go and play Mega Turrican after that of course :)

Apparently, this is NOT a straight Amiga port but rather the other way around. At the time, Factor 5 was busy developing Mega Turrican on Genesis so it gave the project to develop Turrican 3 on Amiga to another Software House (I forgot the name of it). Anyway, Turrican 3 was coming along pretty badly so Factor 5 decided to simply port Mega Turrican to Amiga and call it Turrican 3 instead!

Compared to the Amiga version, Mega Turrican is essentially the same game with worse music and better controls via the MD 3 buttons pad.

Mega Turrican difficulty level has been turned up a bit, so it isn't as easy to go through the game.

If you own a MD and want to play Turrican, get this one and forget about Universal Soldier (a port of Turrican 2 with slightly reworked graphics) which is a complete mess.

Bottom line: a great chapter in the turrican series. 8/10
