Each character is very detailed and features an increased number of frames compared to the previous games but many backgrounds look tragically bare.

Review - Japanese / Asian exclusive.

Introduces a greater amount of innovation compared to Golden Axe 2, such a branching paths which lead to very different levels.

Unfortunatelly, Golden Axe III is graphically uneven. Great animations but backgrounds suffer from a weak color palette and are sometimes rather bare.

Bottom line: A sequel which tried to innovate, the branching paths are a welcome feature which adds to the replay value....7/10
