Review - Finally a new 2D D&D-style fighting game!

I purchased the GP32 basically for this game and for "Her Knights forcing breakout". I only tried this side-scrolling hack'n'slash for a few minutes, but what I saw was very well done.

Blood splashes everywhere on the screen while the backgrounds feature some nice parallax effects and the characters on screen are huge and decently animated.

My only complaint sofar is that the scrolling can be jerky at times, but other than that, Dungeon & Guarder is a technical marvel.

The music and sound-effects are also nicely done while the difficulty level seems to be set pretty high, although luckily there are 4 difficulty levels to choose from.

This game is a pleasant surprise from Korea, an emerging videogames market that holds great potential. If you are looking for a portable D&D style arcade game similar to Knights of the Round or the King of Dragons, your quest ends right here!

Bottom line: a very nice, although a bit tough, fantasy side-scroller in the same vein as capcom's early 1990s arcade games....9/10
