Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper

version: jp - year: 2002 - developer: crawfish - publisher: capcom - format: gba, cartridge - condition: mint - rarity: slight

Review - UK developer Crawfish Interactive managed to port Street Fighter Zero 3 on the GBA almost flawlessly! It is just amazing to see Nintendo's handheld display such detailed sprites with tons of animations with ease.

The characters are great (and you can pick from 3 more in this version), the backgrounds do their job admirably and gameplay is well adapted to the 4 buttons of the GBA (actually basically you will be using 2 of them, because the shoulder buttons are too hard to reach).

The only drawback I see are actually the controls though because more often than expected, it will be hard to pull off the desired moves (like the dragon punch for example)...but this is because of Nintendo's directional pad that is really not suited for complex fighting games.

Bottom line: A reworked port of Street Fighter Zero 3 and probably the best fighting game on GBA...9/10
