Renegade III: the Final Chapter

version: pal - year: 1988 - developer: imagine - publisher: imagine - format: c64, tape - condition: mint - rarity: common

Review - There were 2 prequels to this game and I had a chance to play the second one, Target Renegade which was a competent double dragon clone.

Well so I really picked up Renegade III because I needed to save on shipping for other items and I remember that I was somewhat impressed by the graphics back at the time when looking through adds on the specialized press. Many years later, the game's only strong point has basically vanished.

Sure the graphics do have a sharp look but game-play is a catastrophe! Infinite respawning enemies is something that gets tedious very quickly and unfortunately Renegade III doesn't have much to offer for baring with the pain. Age hasn't been kind to this one.

Bottom line: Not as good as Target Renegade...5/10
