Cybernoid The Fighting Machine

version: pal - year: 1988 - developer: raffaele cecco - publisher: hewson - format: c64, tape - condition: mint - rarity: uncommon

Review - Interesting multi-directional shooter with an organic theme which scrolls by fixed screens.

Graphically very adanced for the time, it had amazingly good sprite work and lot of bullets on screen.

The great soundtrack provided a great complement to the action although gameplay tended to be too hard, with unfair enemy appearance when moving from one screen to the next.

Also, the stringent time limit in which to complete the game made it almost impossible to finish!

Bottom line: An audio-visual feat for the C64, but the unfair gameplay hinders the enjoyment. 7,5/10
