A little known gem on WSC

Gameplay is very well suited for Bandai's portable

Run=Dim should be licensed off a japanese anime

The smart bomb is very powerful and looks spectacular

The team that developed Run=Dim is Korean

Review - Aside from the almighty Judgment Silversword, Run=dim is about the only other shooter on SwanCrystal.

Technically, this game shows off among the best rendered visuals on Bandai's little portable as sprites are big, well drawn and decently animated while backgrounds are varied, colourful and feature excellent parallax scrolling and cool looking graphical effects (such the distortions in the fire level).

Bosses are huge and throw lots of bullets at the player but despite the big size of the robot you control, it is fast enough to allow you to dodge enemy fire effectively.

The music is well done and complements the action well. Gameplay is addictive and fun but this game isn't as challenging as I hoped although I wouldn't say it is ridiculously easy.

To conclude, if you want to see flashy graphics on the SwanCrystal, if you like shooters and don't mind playing them on a small screen, go for this game and you won't regret it. Sure it's a bit expensive because it is so hard to find but if you want your collection to stand out from the others, you need to track down a copy of it as Run=Dim is both rare and enjoyable.

On a final note, when I finished this game and looked at the credits roll, I noticed that the people who made it are Koreans! To tell you the truth , I was astonished since this game looks, plays and feels just like a very good Japanese shooter. Run=Dim comes in a large oversize box that includes a cool action figure.

Bottom line: an unexpected surprise which you will find only on SwanCrystal. Worth digging into if you own the console, just beware of the steep price! 7/10
