Review - Surprisingly, SEGA brought back to life the classic 1st chapter of Golden Axe on WS color. The port is acceptable but the graphics look overall worse than the coin op (over 10 years later...).

The only noticeable improvement is on the additional frames of animations of the selectable characters.Why SEGA chose not revive the saga on a more powerful system such as the GBA is beyond me. Still, Golden Axe is one of the few good action games on Bandai's portable.

Bottom line: A classic which will never age, converted well to the SwanCrystal, just don't expect an exact replica of the original arcade....7/10
