Review - Golden Axe provoked a small-scale revolution when it first hit the arcades.

Maybe the beautifully characterized fantasy graphics, or the smooth character animations or perhaps the engaging music or the mix of all these things made it an instant classic.

The 2 players mode is what really made it an unforgettable experience though. Why?

Well, you were always tempted to beat the shit out of your friend and then pretend it was a mistake...hehe

Bottom line: a true classic of the genre, a must play! 9/10
